By using Uttar Grade, you agree to the terms below. Please read them before purchasing credits or uploading a script.

1. What Uttar Grade is

Uttar Grade is an AI-based tool that reads handwritten answer scripts for UPSC, WBCS, and other State PSC exams, and provides structured feedback: a score, strengths, mistakes, and suggestions for improvement. It is a study and practice aid.

2. Not an official evaluation

Feedback and scores provided by Uttar Grade are generated by an AI system and reflect our best effort to approximate how an exam might be marked. They are not an official examiner's assessment, are not affiliated with UPSC, WBPSC, or any State Public Service Commission, and carry no guarantee of accuracy or of actual exam performance. Use this feedback as one input among several in your preparation, not as a substitute for syllabus-aligned coaching or official guidance.

3. Credits and payment

• Credits are purchased in packs and deducted one per successful evaluation.
• If an evaluation fails due to a technical error, the credit is automatically returned to your balance.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between users.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of any answer script you upload. By uploading it, you grant us permission to process it through our AI provider solely to generate your evaluation. We do not claim ownership of your written work, and we do not use your submissions to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing your evaluation.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is not your own original answer
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use another person's Payment ID or account credits without their permission
• Resell or redistribute evaluations generated through the service as your own commercial product

6. Accuracy of handwriting recognition

Our AI system does its best to transcribe handwritten text accurately, including Bengali, Hindi, and English scripts. Handwriting that is unclear, damaged, or very unusual in style may be misread or flagged as unclear rather than guessed. We are not responsible for feedback based on a misread word or phrase, though we continually aim to improve accuracy.

7. Limitation of liability

Uttar Grade is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to exam outcomes, missed deadlines, or reliance on AI-generated feedback. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the credit pack in question.

8. Changes to the service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the service at any time, including changing which AI provider powers evaluations. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure existing credits remain usable through any such change.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in West Bengal, India.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
