Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Uttar Grade collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. We've tried to write it plainly rather than in dense legal language.

1. What we collect

• Your Razorpay Payment ID and the amount paid, used to track your remaining credits.
• The answer script you upload (a PDF or image), sent to our AI provider to generate your evaluation.
• Basic payment details handled directly by Razorpay, such as your email or phone number if you provide them at checkout. We do not see or store your card or UPI details, Razorpay processes these independently under its own security standards.
• If you use the login feature, your email address, used to identify your account and credits.

2. What we don't do

• We do not permanently store your uploaded answer scripts on our own servers after an evaluation is generated.
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising scripts on this site.
• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Who we share data with

To provide the service, some information is shared with:

• Razorpay, to process your payment securely.
• Our AI processing provider (currently Anthropic and/or Google), to read and evaluate your uploaded script. These providers process the file to generate a response and do not use your submissions for advertising. Please refer to their own privacy policies for how they handle data sent to their APIs.
• Supabase, our database and backend provider, which stores your Payment ID and credit balance.

We do not share your data with anyone beyond what's needed to run the service.

4. How long we keep data

Your Payment ID and credit balance are kept for as long as your account or credits remain active, so you can continue using your purchased credits. Uploaded scripts are not retained after processing. If you'd like your data deleted entirely, contact us and we will remove what we can, subject to records Razorpay may be legally required to retain for payment compliance.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what data we hold about you, or to delete it. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Some information tied to a completed payment may need to be retained for accounting or legal purposes even after a deletion request.

6. Children's privacy

Uttar Grade is intended for competitive exam aspirants and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves, for example if we change AI providers or add new features. Updates will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
